
This group is designed to build solidarity, metabolize uncertainty, face moral injury and increase resilience among scientists, engineers, science communicators, science instructors and professors, postdocs, and students in the sciences - particularly those struggling with the burden of knowing the impacts of climate change. Participants will learn to digest grief, anger, numbness, anxiety and despair in a community of peers-with an aim to restore joy in life and engagement in meaningful work. Thursday evenings, beginning May 8th, 4:30-6:30 PM Pacific / 7:30-9:30 PM Eastern. $350 for the 6-week series.

MEET THE FACILITATORS
Kristan Childs (she/her) is a Good Grief Network and Work That Reconnects facilitator. She co-Chairs the Climate Psychology Alliance North America’s Committee to Support Scientists and STEM Professionals, and is on faculty at the Climate Emotional Resilience Institute. Kristan is certified in both Ecopsychology and Climate Psychology, and she has trained in griefwork with Francis Weller. Kristan is passionate about creating courageous and tender places where people can come together to do the emotional work needed to show up more fully in their lives, as well as for their families, their communities, and this beautiful planet. Teddy Kellam (she/her) is a climate-aware therapist and a faculty member of Climate Emotional Resilience Institute. Certified in Climate Psychology, she co-chairs the Climate Psychology Alliance North America’s Committee to Support Scientists and STEM Professionals, and has been a Good Grief Network facilitator for the past 5 years. Teddy uses her skills and training in trauma, griefwork and somatics to support scientists, therapists, journalists, activists, parents, educators & climate professionals in building resilience, recovering joy and orienting to who they want to be in these uncertain times.
